Can you imagine going to Italy and seeing the Colosseum in person? I sure can't. At least, not at the moment. You see, someday I wish to serve my mission in Italy. Why? I haven't the slightest idea. You would think that I would want to serve a mission in France. After all, I adore France and everything about it. But something draws me to Italy. It's one of those unexplainable concepts.
Well since I have already mentioned it, I may as well explain why I love France. So let me break it down. I love its history (including the French Revolution), its styles, its culture, even the language (although I do not speak it or have any intention to at the moment:). There are plenty more of other things that draw me to this country. Actually, my mom has become a fan as well. When we move, we will style our entire home like France. We will have a different style for every room. I am so excited!!! :)
I have always been a huge fan of the Holocaust (not in a bad way). Therefore, someday I would love to visit Auschwitz. I want to be able to see and feel what happened there for myself, and not from a textbook or other source. Personal experience is a far better learner, in my opinion.
I really want to go to Spain, especially Barcelona and Madrid, to see all of the historical buildings they have there. I love antiques and I love architecture, so Spain kind of works out for me. :)
To see the Stone Henge in person has always been a secret passion of mine. It is amazing how it was constructed. It looks so simple yet complex at the same time! It is a true puzzle indeed.
The reason I want to travel to Greece is for one main reason...I LOVE GREEK MYTHOLOGY! For the longest time, I lived off of greek mythology. I kind of passed on that addiction to my cousin, CJ. I mainly want to see the Parthenon of Athena and Mt. Olympus, home of the gods and goddesses, in mythology.
The Anasazi have always fascinated me. So it is no surprise that I would like to see why they were so famous. Their buildings were built into the sides of cliffs. They were truly outstanding and brilliant to create a village out of a cliff! :)
